On February 17, General Secretary Xi Jinping attended a symposium on private enterprises and delivered an important speech, emphasizing that the private economy has broad prospects and great potential in the new era and on the new journey, and that it is the right time for private enterprises and entrepreneurs to make their mark. He also reiterated the “two unwavering principles” at the 2025 National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (NPC & CPPCC), pointing out the need to continuously optimize the environment for private economic development, remove institutional barriers that restrict private enterprises’ fair participation in market competition, and improve the policy system to promote the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and individual businesses. The draft “Private Economy Promotion Law” passed at this year’s NPC & CPPCC sessions clearly proposes specific measures such as strengthening property rights protection, optimizing the financing environment, and supporting technological innovation, injecting a strong boost into the development of the private economy in the new era.
To thoroughly study, publicize, and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, Liu Jian, Chairman and CEO of Enzyme Products, traveled to Beijing from April 7th to 9th to participate in a special seminar jointly organized by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the Central Institute of Socialism.
