On December 17th, the 13th Annual Cosmetics News Conference was grandly held on the banks of the Yangtze River in Wuhan. At the evening banquet, the first-ever list of the top 100 industrial enterprises in the cosmetics industry, compiled by Cosmetics News, was unveiled. Enzyme Products, with its outstanding R&D and innovation capabilities, digital intelligent production, and high-quality green active ingredients, won the title of “2024 Top 100 Cosmetics (China) Industrial Enterprises”!

1. Leading the way in finished enzyme products – Application and innovation of green active raw materials
The company is a leading enterprise in the field of green bioactive raw materials in China . Since its establishment in 2017, it has built a comprehensive “Green Bio-manufacturing Platform” integrating R&D and industrialization, with synthetic biology technology at its core. It is one of the few companies in the industry that simultaneously masters enzyme catalysis, whole-cell synthesis, and green chemistry technologies, and is also one of the earliest companies in China to apply AI to enzyme screening and modification, achieving remarkable results. After seven years of rapid development, the company has achieved a leading position among similar enterprises globally in terms of R&D investment, scale, and output.
The company has applied for more than 150 invention patents and has completed the registration of new cosmetic acetylcarnosine and collagen tripeptide (tripeptide-29) . Our star product: Collagen Tripeptide (Tripeptide-29)
In 2021, the enzyme product established a production base in Baiyin, Gansu, achieving a production capacity of ten tons of active ingredients for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. In 2022, construction of a smart factory in Zhuhai was launched and put into operation in the second half of 2023. In 2023, preparations were initiated for a thousand-ton-level industrial base, and in 2024, it was confirmed that the project would be located in the Wengyuan Innovation Raw Material Industrial Park in Shaoguan. The project has a total investment of approximately 1.1 billion yuan, a planned construction area of 70,000 square meters, an annual output of 1,000 tons of green active ingredients, and an annual output value of over 2 billion yuan. After the project is put into operation, it will become the largest biosynthetic GLP-1 raw material and peptide base in China .

The “2024 Top 100 Cosmetics (China) Industrial Enterprises” selection was conducted around different dimensions, including intelligent manufacturing and digitalization, green and low-carbon development, and innovative development of new productivity such as core raw materials, highlighting the characteristics of advanced Chinese-style manufacturing in the cosmetics industry.
This list selection targets cosmetic manufacturing companies registered in China, headquartered and primarily operating within China, and considers the following criteria:
1. The core basis is the company’s revenue from cosmetics-related businesses in the previous year.
2. Digital Management and Production: Enterprises should have a high level of digital management and production capabilities, and the automation rate of production and manufacturing should reach more than 80%.
3. Green and low-carbon level: It has a high standard of green and low-carbon level in terms of energy use, waste management, production process, supply chain management and product design.
